About Us

CapacityCenter.com’s proprietary technology platform and data center is the only all in one Capacity Release and Operational Notice information source that is synced with all the Interstate pipeline systems. Our database not only collects the data as it occurs, it stores all the historical Capacity Release transactions for the past 10 years. We also track shipper entity status and all the pipeline receipt and/or delivery points.

Our staff of analysts and consultants have years of experience working in natural gas markets. We have worked with over a hundred clients on a wide variety of natural gas market and pipeline related reports and projects.

As FERC uses our data to monitor shippers for compliance purposes, we also offer compliance auditing and ongoing monitoring services to assist in avoiding penalties and staying within Sarbanes or internal risk policy guidelines.

History

CapacityCenter.com was developed as a result of FERC Order 636, the deregulation of the interstate natural gas pipelines. The original system was built upon GISB setting standards for capacity release markets in the 1990s. At the time the company was known as TransCapacity, which was acquired by Skipping Stone in 2000 and since changed its name to CapacityCenter.com.
